The NORTHERN TRADE, INDUSTRY AND INVESTMENT SUMMIT is part of collaborative efforts by the Centre for Policy Development (CPD) in collaboration with the Northern Regional Coordinating Council (NRCC), Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Ghana Enterprise Agency (GEA), Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), and Ghana Tourism Authority to identify and empower the private sector, particularly MSMEs, for capacity-building, production expansion, export promotion, industry promotion, and value addition to non-traditional export product to accelerate economic development, create employment and improve the livelihood of the people in northern Ghana. It is also to equip businesses with the relevant information and tools to enable them introduce more innovative strategies in order to respond to current global market trends in today’s business environment.
The Summit is scheduled to be held in Tamale in northern Ghana, from 14th March, 2023 - 18th March, 2023, and include a Grand Durbar to open the events; Trade Exhibitions that will run for five days; Seminars; and a Business Awards Night to climax the events.
The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo is the special guest of honour to open the summit at the Grand Durbar on 14th March, 2023.
